Thank you so much for an exciting and inspiring 2nd meeting of Richmond's Food Policy Council!

With over 30 participants, including representatives from the Oakland and Berkeley Food Policy Councils as well as the California Food Justice Coalition it turned out to be a very inspiring and informative evening. I really want to send out a special thanks to Esperanza, Dan, Marissa, Christina and Armando for coming all the way out to Richmond to share their experiences and passion in order to help us form our Council. Richmond folks can be both head and heart strong but I believe we also know the importance of collaboration and building power for change together. In this spirit I think it is safe to say you all have our deepest gratitude.

We definitely have a good amount of work to do together; work that will make us stronger and more capable of manifesting the healthy, just and sustainable food system Richmond so sorely needs.

Help Set the Agenda for Our Next FPC Meeting:
In our 3rd meeting we would like to begin wading into the mechanics of the how and why of our Food Policy Council using the brainstorming notes we created in this 2nd meeting.
